Hi Tanya: I've been told by a few docs that up to a year is considered quite normal. That's also pretty much what the Zita West book says too. I didn't get my BFP for a year after stopping BCP. I think somtimes it is just down to luck.
My doctor told me recently that if you are TTC properly and timing it well, then most months an egg probably gets fertilised, it is just then a bit if a lottery to see if it implants properly. She said that it is thought at least 75% of fertilised eggs don't implant properly, and that is just down to chance, not due to infertility.
Try not to worry too much, but do see you doc if you are worried. They may get some preliminary tests done at this stage which might ease your mind a bit.

morning - well I am exhausted - we went to to Zurich Street Parade which is a big dance party in zurich.. it was crazy - so so many people and everyone was dressed up - it was really nice but a little too chaotic for me.. we had fun tho... we were sitting by the lake and all the yachts and small boats were near the shore and everyone was just partying....

Thanks for the words of encouragement - my mom had fibroids which means I can also have them as hereditory but we will see - i will give it another 6 months before I go to docs..

otherwise nothing much to report - just going to rest today..

The Zita West book is interesting but it put me on a downer the way she goes on about at age of 35 it's all down hill significantly (i'm 36 next month!). I would have some blood tests done to ease your mind a bit like cd2 and CD 21 and others. I'm sure it's just a matter of time though. Good luck this cycle hun! xx

Oh honey, try not to worry too much about the book, like Niki said, there's so much chance involved in ttc and it'll happen to you exactly when the time is right. I had been to the doc last month about my cystitis and he said it's normal to take 18 months! I think all the experts say different things hon.

If you think there is a bigger chance of getting fibroids because your mum had them, would it put your mind at rest to go and get checked out now? Surely if something is genetic you are entitled to get seen earlier to be on the safe side? Or may be you'd rather see what happens first? xxxxx

hi all - thanks for all the advice.. I will give it another 6 months and then see.. waiting 6 months wont hurt... If still nothing will ask for an ultrasound to see if I have fibroids as that is why my mom took 10 years to conceive me...!! I cant wait that long!!

Hope you are all well.. I am just recovering from another hectic party yesterday.. did not drink alchohol so was good but downed the energy drinks.. cant be good either.. oh well..had such a fab day and is something I will remember forever plus I got to spend it with my best friend who is leaving tomorrow

Hey hunny, just poping in to see how you are doing. So sorry I've neglected your journal for so long! I'm really trying to step back from ttc (and bnb) just a bit. And tbh I feel much better for it.

So, is this cycle 7 for you then? It's a right pain in the bahookey isn't it? Why can we not just pregnant at the drop of a hat? I feel your frustration hun, I really do. But we can do it. We will do it.
