Last night I had a nightmare that all the test results came back and said that my husband was sterile and my hormones were just too bad to be fixed. I know it was just a dream and stuff but it still really bothered me.

Thursday is our next appointment and I should know the results of the tests before then but this waiting is really killing me.

So, Dr. Hill (my GYN) called this morning with my test results.

Results = fertility issues are my fault. (Big Shock *sarcasm* but she actually said that. "I think you are the problem." Nice...

So... normal testosterone in a woman is between 20-70 and mine was 102. (It was high when I was on BCP but geez... I guess that is HELLA high according to the doc. My other levels were a bit off too but that was the worst one. Great!

My OH's test came back good. His sperm count was way higher than average but viability was 50%. I guess 51%+ is normal but since the count was so much higher, she said that it was fine. That is good, right.

Now DH is happily on the baby train. LOL (After BDing, he says, "Go forth my minions!" ) I am glad he is getting as happy as I am. YAY!!!

Tomorrow is the fertility specialist appointment so I am really looking forward to it! I'm so happy! Please wish me luck!

I know, huh?! I mean, she was really informative and I love that about her but damn is she freaking blunt!!!! LOL!!!!

#1 - Dr Elrod is officially a really awesome doctor!

#2 - Starting tomorrow, I will be on Metformin! He is hoping that this will help a lot of my PCOS symptoms and regulate my periods. If I am not pregnant in 3 months, then he is going to add Clomid to Metformin so I am extremely hopeful!

Seriously, I felt a bit crappy this morning because I was nervous about the appointment but once I walked into the office, I felt at ease. The Receptionist was nice. The nurse was hillarious. (She is like, "first the doctor is going to speak to you clothed but if he feels like seeing you in some stage of undress, then we'll undress you." <-- I sort of think you had to be there but it was funny)

My husband and I just ended up going into Dr. Elrod's office and talking about family history, my personal history and my options. We went over what happens in a normal menstrual cycle and then what happens to me. (ie - nothing.) He asked me if we ever did BBT or ovulation tests but I told him no because I would be poor. He laughed, agreed and said that they would do nothing for me anyway since things are so abnormal.

He said my options to start were either Metformin and/or Clomid and wanted to know what I wanted but I made him give me his opinion since he is the doctor. We agreed Metformin was the way to go in the beginning and then move onto mixing it with Clomid if the results aren't happening. It was so nice to speak with someone along with my husband that seemed as hopeful as we were.

The fact that he was funny and had a great personality was a wonderful bonus. I definitely want this man to deliver my child. Woot! I am lucky!

That's great news My friend is on Metformin, she's not ttc but I do remember she said something about the side effects being bad at first and then it gets better, I hope it will only have good effect on you.

Isn't it nice to find a doctor that listens to you and is so helpful? Too often I wanna punch the doctors because they're just not listening to me.
