| Well the has been and gone and I'm so glad to see the back of her. I haven't had a period so painful and heavy in a long time.
I'm now on to 850mg of Metformin 2x daily and so far so good, had a little bit of nausia, but I can cope with that. Just wondering now when I should start using ovulation tests as I've never had a normal cycle before and as I'm on the Met there is every posibility that I will start having fairly regular cycles. |

| Hello Helen,
Im fairly new to this site, but just thought i would say Hi
Im 25 and have been TTC for 8 months now with no joy...
anyway, in response to your last question when to start using opk's... i was thinking What would i do if i were you??
i would probably buy about 20-30 OPK tests from ebay cos they're only about £5 or so.
and i would test everyday from now to see if i coud catch that LH Surge....
Hope this helps.. xx | | | | Status: Offline

| The has arrived, which means the Met is working. My cycle was 35days which I suppose is pretty normal. So I'm making it my mission not to see her again next month. |

| I am sooo excited. Got my first ever positive ovulation test yesterday .
Part of my PCOS means that I haven't been ovulating, so it looks like the metformin is doing its job. Got to get busy now and fingers crossed that the doesn't rear her ugly head this cycle. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm so happy for you. It seems you're very lucky with the meds, I hope you won't need the clomid (I guess not, since you're ovulating) Good luck in the 2ww, I hope this is your lucky cycle |

| Well I thought it was about time that I updated my journal, not been here since April.
The metformin seems to be working for me. I have had three cycles now all between 32 and 34 days. And although the is here and I haven't got my BFP yet, at least my body has developed a pattern now.
I'm still waiting to back and see my gynea (appointment should have been at the end of May). When I rang and asked why I hadn't got my appointment yet I was told that they were running behind and i would get one when they were ready for me. Thing is the appointments are sent out four weeks before hand so June is out already. Fingers crossed we will get our appointment soon and we can get things moving. I'm hoping that she will refer us to a fertility specialist this time. |
