Turn a blind eye don't they and bullying continues outside of the school. Just a nightmare for any child.
I was bullied at my last year in primary school and the girls big brother in 1st or 2nd stage of high school bullied at me too when he could ... My foster sister (4th stage of high school at that point) had enough and one day coming out of school there she was ...said to me "leather her or I'll leather you" she was serious and I gave the bully a good slap (or more lol) ... Its probably not the best advised but it worked for me I was never bullied again!
Well, I grew up in a single parent home and my mother was on welfare and then disability. So, therefore, I didn't have all the cool clothes, which was one thing I got picked on for. Secondly, my mom was very, very strict so I couldn't do much outside of the home. Thirdly, I had fabulous grades. Fourthly, I was petite and quiet.
Junior High School was the absolute worse. High School itself was bad too. Funny thing is, I went to a Catholic School as well but the girls sure didn't act Catholic to me. Truly, girls are the worst against other girls.
I wish I had had the guts to tell them off, or even the guts to explain to my mom what was going on at school.
What I went through is absolutely NOTHING like what kids go through nowadays. Wobbles, you are correct. Kids are ending their lives because of it, and other kids are ending other's lives because of it. It's not right!
It truly makes me sick to my stomach and I am almost ready to go proactive in my daughter's school to ensure that there are policies, etc. for bullying.
BTW, I found this link about bullying last weekend and there's some good information in it. I am going to apply some of this on the weekend with my stepdaughter.

Go you!!! I'm sure the schools need more parents who will make them get off their backsides & control bullying.
