son has a rash

Hi everyone

Our 8 yr old son came home from school today and we noticed a rash around the front of his neck and round to the back of his ears. He also has it slightly under his armpits.

It fades under glass. It looks red and inflamed, slightly raised. His temperature is normal.

If it is still there i will take him to doctors tomorrow.

Any ideas what it could be?
thanks

Perhaps an allergic reaction to something...

you sure the rash is not hives? it certainly sounds like hives hun, if it is red and 'raised'. i would take him to the doctors. Also keep a look out to see what could be causing it if it is hives.

I don't think its hives because he does get them when he has an allergy, but they are usually bigger and spread apart more. I'll have a look up though.
