Charlie-Jane

Her nan has just picked her up from Chior for me to save me going out.... Charlie has been upset lately and quiet, her nan just told me shes told her why..

Charlie is worried that i am going to die when i have the baby

The 2 false alarms i have had this week have scared Charlie and shes been quite around the house and in school, i didnt even twig, ive been so wrapped up in the baby to notice.

Her nan tried to explain that i will be ok but Charlie said that it hurts and she doesnt want me to be in pain and or even die.

I will have to have a chat with her later but i dont know what to say to make her feel better about it.

Any ideas?

Awe it must be hard for her. It is good that she has opened up and talked to someone. Im not sure what you should say but maybe tuck her to sleep tonight and cuddle with her for a while and just tell her how special she is to you and that you love her very much. Maybe she will talk to you about what she said to her Nan. Maybe you shouldnt bring up what she said to her Nan . This way Charlie will always know that she can talk to someone in confidence. If you know what I mean.

I had a chat with her last night about it, She said shes seen teh baby programs and all the mums scream and cry and she doesnt want me to do that.

I tried to explain to her that i had already had 3 babies and each one has been quicker and easier, she said that she still doesnt want me to have pain tho.

I then told her that there is a man that will give me medicence to take all ther pain away, she them said, yeah but he puts a bit needle in you lol (she had an answer for everything) So i then tol dher that he would spray my back with stuff first to numb it so that i wouldnt feel it.

She seemed happy with that. She used to suffer badly from constipation as a little girl, so i said having a baby is like that, it hurts for a while but as soon as you push the baby out all the pain goes away and everything is fine.

She then started to cheer up and say she will be in charge of all teh boys as she is the only girl in the house, and that she wants to help me with the baby etc, so hopefuly i have put her mind at rest a bit now
