Hello,
My husband and I have decided to start trying to get pregnant in September. I have wanted a baby for a few years. This past month, I thought I was pregnant. My husband went through a few phases while this was going on. First was fear and anger. He yelled "this is not a good thing" while we were out for dinner with my cousin one night. This phase was followed by quiet. He didn't want to talk about it, he just wanted to ignore this was a possibility. Then, there was acceptance. After a lengthy discussion about babies, he sat and thought for a while, then finally said "If you aren't pregnant now, can we wait until the fall to start trying?" I hadn't been so happy to hear him say something since we said our vows.
I took a test the following week that was negative, and we both mourned the loss of what we never had, but at least I know we will try again. I can't wait.
