New girl - not sure when to start counting from?

Hi everyone, this is my first post, I just wanted to ask when I should start counting from? When people say they are 9 weeks, is that from first day of your last period or ovulation, or something else? I haven't been to the doctor yet (booked in for monday) but I have done two tests at home (both positive) and I know I ovulated on the 1st June and my last period started 18 May.

Thanks for your advice

Welcome to bnb

Most doctors work out how far gone you are from the first day of your last period, hope this helps
