I'm not even bothered at all about the wedding, I just want to be married to him. I have said this sooo many times on here everyone must be getting bored, but my idea of a dream wedding is to nip across to newcastle, pick up a dress for me and a suit for OH and run to the registry office then to our favourite pub for their gorgeous food! That would be perfect in my eyes, if Carrie Bradshaw can have a simple wedding like that, why can't I?!
Hoping it will be autumn/winter this year but not getting my hopes up

hehe congrats to everyone on here though

I am EXACTLY the same!! My OH seems to think that getting married at a registry office is a bad thing, almost like if we decided to do that, we wouldn't love each other as much or something. It makes no sense to spend thousands and thousands of pounds on one day. I don't want to spend 2 years saving up for one day then to find that we are tight for cash a few weeks later, would rather put the money into savings for kids/pay off debts etc etc. I just couldn't care less about the wedding, I don't care about it, just want to be married to him.

Tried explaining it to OH and he just doesn't see my point. I'm sure he is going to want to wear a dress on the day!!

I ORDERED MY DRESS TODAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and its a designer one. I thought I was going to have to order a copy at one point, but when I told my grandma that she offered to pay for the original! So I went and tried it on today and fell in love with it and ordered it. Im so excited.

And to make it even better, the lady in the shop knocked it down from £799 to £550.

This time last week I was dreading this wedding but now Im so excited to wear my dress again

Getting married on 14th November 2009, no idea where to start!! We have a small budget which is going to be eaten up by the food (no pun intended)

We're on a small buget as well so we aren't having a meal, just the service in the afternooin (3 I think) and then a party afterwards. Might be an idea? We only thought of doing that because we cant afford to cater for 40 people.

amazing dress.

We are on a very small budget too. My dress was cheap on ebay, renting suit. The bulk of the cash is going on a buffet and DJ afterwards. However, im not sad about that. I cant wait to be married, im looking forward to getting the wedding done with! the stress is tooo much!!

We're not having a DJ, I'm thinking of just compiling a playlist myself and sticking it on a CD/ipod, will probably work out a lot cheaper.

I'm thinking of a 5 course meal late afternoon and either before or after that chocolates, fudge etc and the chocolate fountain (I LOVE melted chocolate!)

Going to look at a potential venue on saturday.
