Mortgage

Just been in town to renew our fixed rate, it expires the end of this month and would of jumped up £160 a month due to 4 interest rate rises in the past 2 years.Bloomin Halifax wanted to also charge £1500 arrangement fee! do one!

Anyhoo went to First Mortgage (Mortgage Advisory Centre) and we are now with Nationwide and payments have jumped up £90-so not as bad.

went for fixed rate for 5 years this time as by then kids will be in school and our debt will be cleared by then....hopefully.

Just thought I'd share xx

We're with the Yorkshire and they're really good, we've just got a 10yr fixed at a good rate and if we move house we just take it with us.

K make sure you weren't charged more than £75 in exit fees from your old mortgage. If you were you can claim it back. We were charged £225 when we changed mortgages last year and got a cheque for £150 two months ago!
