wot exactly does this mean...

A 2% handling fee is charged on each balance transfer made during the first 10 months from account opening. Minimum monthly repayment: greater of 3% of outstanding balance or £5. The minimum initial credit limit is £250.

I've got it, and I do the same as you and pay it off every month. It's also good to have a cc for emergencies. Our camera broke last week so we went and bought a new one today. Hadn't got a spare £90, but I'll have it at the end of the month, so popped it on the card and I'll just clear it on the 1st.

The other bumph is for if you're transferring balances from other cards hun, and as you haven't got one, you'll not need to know about it. The only other thing to note is that it states the minimum monthly payment - it's either 3% of the total outstanding balance, or £5, depending on what you owe. But as you'll be paying it in full, you don't need to know this either.

I always said I would charge a LITTLE BIT and then pay it off every month, that never happened. They have been maxed out since I got them.. I have two.

I have a seperate bank account with ING Direct - 5% interest. But it takes 3 days to transfer money to and from my normal current account. So, what I do is to whack it on my credit card, then when I get home, I transfer the money into the ING account and it sits there till I get the bill. Then, say for example, if the outstanding balance is £200 and it needs to reach them by the 30th of the month, I will set up a standing order from the current account to pay it on the 25th, and then another one from the ING account to transfer the money into the current account on the 22nd. That way, I don't have to think about it, and I'm earning a nice little bit of interest at the same time!
