Well you get your Child Trust Fund Voucher through soon if u havent got it already-£250, that you will need ot bank/invest.

We currently pay £20 a month into a Halifax account for Rebecca and that is where we invested her voucher.

I do know a lot of people shop about for best rates etc, but I bank with HBOS so just opened her an account there.x

All my three have a childrens monthly saver with the Halifax, you have to put in a minimum amount by DD/standing order and can only make one withdrawal per year, if you stick to this they get a bonus on top of the interest. My mum pays in a set amount a month then my gran saves £10 a month for them which is paid in as cash over the counter every month you can pay in upto £100 a month in cash/cheque at the branch.

I'm about to set up an account with Brittannia using the £250 Child Trust Fund voucher and an account with The Yorkshire Bank for £10 per week.

Have a look at these: -
