We have Life insurance and Term Assurance for about £12 each from Norwich Union, covers both of us in the event of death or critical injury, the life insurance will pay off the mortgage and the term assurance will pay out £100k. Its worth getting critical injury as well as death incase something happens that stops you from being able to work.

Also we filled out an additional clause for no extra cost where if both of us die, it pays the money to our chosen guardians (my brother & SIL) so that they can use it to take care of our children.
