| oh louise sweetheart
Please do not feel inferior please. Money and upbringing is nothing to do with "being posh"
I have a friend with a 2 million house and the works, she shops in Aldi's to save money and believe me doesnt have to. She speaks with plums in her mouth,i sound like Cheryl Baker get the difference. we are also best mates.
They are what one would call inverted snobs (menaing earnt money, new money) not breeding if they cant take you as they find you but I think you will find they are well okay with you and this may well be your own insecurity causing this problem not them. I dont want to sound harsh honey I just want you to be proud of who you are, take money and posh voices out of the equation it does not matter.
I have friends who are Rich,Poor,Fat and Thin they all mean same to me. And I to them
Louise I can understand how you feel but once you get over this "Class" division and accept they are regular guy's like us who eat,poo and fart like the rest of us you will be fine. |

(did recently but wobbs kept bitch slapping me and telling me off lol) It's his dad's GF i don't really like ... his mum passed away but from what i have been told by his sister, his dad and him we were very much alike and would have got on great ... she was like me don't pull any punches and say what you think ... no wrapping it up in cotton wool so to speak! Really you can't go thru life worrying about everyone else .... you got yourself and your family screw what others think there not important! | | | | Status: Offline

| Oh Louise how did you word it?
I have had RICH fellas and yes their families tried to sometimes belittle me but you know what I have class and breeding despite not coming from "Money" my Nan was a lady and manners were the most crucial thing ever you know.
What gets me is growing up all my mates with money had beans on toast and my mum who didnt we had proper cooked with soup HM and a pudding HM (home-made) It is just airs and graces dis-regard it.
If someone tells you to change your top tell them to toss off. As for swearing well I am gonna be honest here,I DO NOT do it front of my husband or children my husband HATES swearing of any sort so I swear on here, lol I ahve learnt not to do it front of him and it becomes second nature it isnt being posh it's being polite.
As for mates yes I can choose them and when they moan coz there pool is broken or their horse lost the race (we are near newmarket) I think get a grip but it IS important to them and it does become an issue when they want to buy my DD a fur-real pony for xmas and you have to say no coz you cant afford it yourself and there is no-way you will let them, then the arguments start believe me. I am lucky my rich friend has no kids so Chloe plays with her horses all day and there are no kids of hers that I would feel bad not buying a mega expensive pressie but peeps take me as I am or go F88K themselves.
Ring your OH up and make up. As for your dad and his teeth, well I know rich folks who's tables manners would make Step-toe look posh honest and they dress minging from charity shops. Believe me.
Good luck with OH |
