Help with nursery while on maternity leave?

I work 3 days a week, and Charlie goes to nursery. I pay £440 a month for this, and get £240 a month child tax credit. Bear in mind though, that I do have 2 kids, so this is not all for nursery fees.

What I want to know it, will I still be able to send Charlie to nursery once I'm on maternity leave? I know this may sound selfish and there must be loads of you wondering why I don't have him at home while I'm there, but I know I'm going to get acute SPD. I struggled last time to do anything, and thats without having a toddler to run round after.

So what will happen? Will I have to take him out of nursery? Or will the tax credits carry on being paid while I'm on mat leave?

maybe ring up child tax credits and just ask or ciztens advice and just ask if they can work out if the child tax credits will go up enough to cover for Charlie to stay in nursery

I believe your entitled to the same!!! Your classed as working - Like whist on MAT leave people still get there 'working' tax credits. Not only that due to MAT leave you will be able to deduct pennies from your yearly income in the new tax year muahaha!

Of course you are Wobbles!!!! I didn't look at it like that!

Yay!! So glad my little man will be able to have fun for 3 days a week. It won't be much fun for him stuck at home with a cripple for the other 4 days!
