Cheek of our landlord!

Since we have moved in here we've had nothing but problems with the bathroom!

The toilet at first was blocked constantly! It took the rod people 2 visits before getting it right! Not a nice convenience for us & visitors when we first moved in as it went on for a little over a month!

We have one of those baths that has the shower attached to the taps & that pissed with water at one point!

Then the lights - we have been here since the middle of January & in 8 months I think we have only had working lights in there for about 2 months! I mean they aren't in any rush to fix them but they have been fixed 3 times now each time failing to work within a week or two! That’s what you get with dodgy DIY fittings?

Now at last we have had a call that the guy will yet again come an fix the lights Saturday morning! Well for a start Saturdays is my day off where I wish to be in bed an he’s coming at 9AM! WTF - It’s the fucking WEEKEND for gawd sakes!

Anyway sly as it was she slid in her mortgage has gone up & because of all the fixings (costs) they want to put our rent up by £20! Well the fixings aren't really our problem apart from the fact we've had to live with the inconvenience & slow repairs!

I know it's only £20 but I think her reasons are disgraceful! If anything they should lower our rent for OUR inconvenience! It’s great when we have visitors & have to light candles so they can see!!! I mean this time when we had our BBQ on the 18th/19th August the lights weren't working & today the 13th September they STILL aren't working!

Rant over!!

Well as my OH said to me last night she will probably regret her £20 increase as we're defo going to try & get out of here before Christmas so if she's not putting the house up for sale until March she's lost a few hundred not a few quid for dodgy lighting! :P

I think that is awful!!!

I had problems with my shower and sink in the bathroom......I had to keep going home to Mum & Dad as I couldn't wash or shower. I kicked up a stink and it took a while.

I moved house (stayed with same letting agents, so kept the argument going) I eventually moved out of that place a couple of years later, I owed them some money and I refused to pay, I told them that they owed me 6 months rent for the lack of ammenities that was stated 'I had' in my contract, so they can go whistle..........I have never heard back from them, so they have written off the money.......... I didn't owe in the first place!

Hope that makes sense?!
