Why don't you compromise? Tell him to try it out for the first six months and if the extra time to get to and from work is truly a hassle, that you will consider moving after the 6 months are over.

I don't mind doing that, and it's likely to be less hassle after 6 months because I will be a lot more used to bubs and so will feel a little less stressed. Will mention it
