Mother rant!

My mother is driving me INSANE. I can never do anything good enough for her! I am so tired just all the time, I can never get enough sleep. I'm sleeping 12 hours a day and I still have trouble getting through the day. I'm doing courses for school, and I keep the house clean! Every single day she comes home from work with something else to complain about. Normally she just complains that I don't have supper done right or I don't have the glasses dry ( I air dry mine, I don't see what the big issue is!).

So for the last 2 days, I've completely done everything in this god forsaken house. I drove my sister around all day, picked her up on time, got the house cleaned and supper is just about ready to go on the table. The dishes are done, I went to a job interview...there wasn't much else I could do! So she opens the garbage to throw something out, and I threw a slice of pizza in there instead of putting it in the fridge because I figured it wasn't necessary.

Guess who goes BESERK!? I can do NOTHING to please this woman. At all. She is just completely unreasonable. I told her a few days ago that I could have everything done perfect and she would still find something to complain about...and today I did (minus the pizza) and she flips out over it! I'm just seriously at my wits end with her. And then she says that there's something wrong with me and there must be something going on in my personal life because I told her to stop flipping out.

Just a mad rant

Sorry honey!

I guess there is a reason why we all move out of our parent's house at some point.

My mum and my sister have a similar relationship - strangely the other way round though. I'm just glad I moved out!

I hope she sees how unreasonable she's being.

Yes, there is a reason I moved out three years ago!!! haha.

Feeling a bit better today though, I just find her really difficult to cope with when she comes home from work because she is contrary enough as it is

Oh Rae

This sounds just like the situation I'm in with my mother, I'd moved out and have had to move back again, and she's well, to be fair a mad cow at the best of times I also get the "there's something no right with you in the head/personal life" speech all the time, truth is, there's nothing wrong with me other than my financial situation and I am sick and tired of my mother treating me like staff.

I know it's not easy to deal with someone like that, when nothing is right no matter what you do and how you do it.

I obviously can't offer you much advice otherwise I'd be out of this place too, but I couldn't read and run. Just thought I'd say I understand what you're going through, and all you can do is hang on in there (just if you're anything like me) until you can get yourself into your own place.
