Hiya, i am about to put a claim in for housing benefit, im on income support and ive been offered a house private rented, im paying the deposit on friday but the landlord said he cant let me move in until he hears back from housing benefit, if i send my claim off on friday does anyone know roughly how long its going to take? xxx

depends completely on the council. It can take upto 3 months before you see a penny of the benefit tbh....that's how long it took us last time - I hope it won't be that long this time!!
