Those kids we were having trouble with (that tried to burn down our flat with us in it when Pierre was 4 days old) are back!

Pretty much every other night they're shouting racist abuse at OH, banging on the doors and windows and just being a pain trying to start a fight.

On Wednesday night I'd just got Pierre to sleep in his moses basket in the living room and went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. I saw them turn up outside the chipshop and one pick up a fist sized rock. I just stood there and watched as they were clearly shouting abuse in the door of the chip shop again. Then they began to walk away and thats when I heard them throwing the rock up against the wall and sign that is literally right next to our living room window. I ran in there and removed Pierre into the hall where there are no windows and then went downstairs to tell OH who was already calling the police.

I went to the front door to check they were walking away and they started calling me an old hag (hey I'm only 23!). I lost it and chased them down the road with no shoes on telling them what do they think they're doing risking the life of a newborn baby.

They said if the police are called it's only going to get a whole lot worse.

Still the police are supposed to be arresting them today for the racist coments at least so we will see but it's terrible living in fear like this.... of kids!?

Apparently their next plan is to put a brick through our window....

That is just AWFUL!! I am so sorry that you have to deal with such horrible, abusive idiots. I hope that the cops can help you guys out and get rid of them.

That is absolutely awful! I don't understand how anyone could do those things, let alone a child. Those children's parents need to whip their asses into shape in my opinion....that behavior is unacceptable.

They're 16/17 year olds I think. I don't think they have any real reason. One of them got sacked for his racist comments but OH have tried his best with them. He's tried to give several of them jobs but they all leave after a day or two because 'it's too hard work'.

Since they've all been banned for their behaviour and it's just getting out of control. Some of their parents are supportive but don't know how to deal with it and other actually have their parents on their side - or more like parents who just don't care.

At least the police can do something about the racism but they said it will take longer to do something about the threats and antisocial behaviour (like throwing rocks at the building). we just have to keep a record of it. Personally I don't think thats good enough because it would only take something like 1 rock to come through that window and hit someone.... it's really scary.
