I'm Currently Feeling: | OMFG! People so lie!!!!! *panic* **** Sorry if this offends anyone ****
If anyone ever tells you that a mouse trap breaks a mouses neck and kills it, IT IS A LIE!
*SOB* Oh my god!!!!! I am sitting at my computer, posted on BnB and watching my recorded issue of "So You Think You Can Dance" when I hear SNAP and the little mouse that has been left in our house gets caught in the trap RIGHT BY THE COMPUTER!!!! I mean, it was in my scope of vision! The trap caught it in the middle. One half on the neck and the other half in the lower abdomen.
HE DIDN'T DIE!!!! He started kicking and squeaking! WTF?!?!?! I literally ran out of the room and called a friend. When I got off the phone, I thought, "he must be dead now (10 minutes later)" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... he was still fighting to get free!
I was like, "oh hell no!" I have been trying to get rid of this mouse for a week and now he can't even die right?!?!?!?!?!?! I was panicking. I grabbed some bags and a dustpan, scooped him up, dumped him in the back and threw him out the backdoor, bag and all. (Now I feel bad because I littered too so I will have to have hubby grab it in the morning when he gets off the graveyard shift.)
WTH! That sucked. Yes, I wanted him gone and I even put out poison traps today just so but WHY DID THAT HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME?!?!?! So gross and I feel like an awful human for even wishing the mouse dead but GOD, it must be better than suffering! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Don't worry darl, I get upset when I see animals suffering like that too. Even if they are pests! I went shooting with my uncle and dad one night, and I ended up in tears. My uncle didn't shoot to kill, he left the hares running around in circles endlessly in pain, and left them to die... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | AH! How awful! I live in AK and everyone hunts but I can only approve if they hunt to kill and use EVERYTHING! For me, I could never actually shoot or kill anything. I am a target shooter only. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Happened to me once before too. It's not nice. Even though it's a rodent you feel terrible for it. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | ugh! same thing happened with our mouse we caught...had the snappy trap and he didn't die. DH "took care of it" though and to this day he refuses to tell me what he did to the rat (i'm sure it was inhumane whatever it was...maybe drowned it in a can of gasoline, ran it over with the car, i don't know).
it's hard because you half feel bad for the poor thing, but then you're glad you caught it because you want it gone, but then angry because the trap didn't "do it's job" right!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I KNOW! Cheryl, you can totally read my mind. LOL!
Someone told me when the mouse was still kicking in the trap in the house... "Throw trap and all into a garbage bag and stomp on it." O_o... WTF?!?!?! Hell no! What am I? King Kong? ICK!
I am trying to get over it but ewwww... I think I will leave the poison out for a few more days just to be sure that no more mice get in but I sprung all the traps. I will never use those again! |

| OMG i laughed out loud for real...King Kong LOL.
The thing about leaving a rat still alive and in a bag w/o "finishing it off" is that IF the mouse does pry itself loose he can easily chew through the bag and escape (and most likely go back to where it was, in your home in this case).
I don't have the guts to stomp a rat in a bag lol that's a man's job (or a very brave woman haha something i am not ) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | LOL!
That is what hubby said before all this happened but honestly, we live in the Alaskan woods so I am praying that the foxes in the area or my neighbors evil cat will get it before it can come back. Also, he has gained so much weight the past week in my house eating the peanut butter off the trap (OMG!) that he will not fit through the hole anymore. YAY!
I so wish Jack had been home last night to deal with that! ICK! |
