I'm Currently Feeling:

Remortgaging

I'm just wondering if anyone's mortgage deals run out this year and what they were thinking of doing.

Or has anyone had to remortgage and managed to find good enough deals.

Our deal ends in August and am worried that we won't find anything close to what we've got, ending up having to pay a lot more than we do now. Just after all the hype about lenders stopping their new mortgage deals. thanks

I work for an estate agency and my advice would be to seriously shop around. Alot of main stream lenders are now avoiding using brokers, on the flip side some still are and they can get deals that you are me wouldnt have acces too. Rates and deals are changing literally on a daily basis and are very hard to keep up with. The chances of you getting a similer rate to your previous arrangement are in all honestly pretty slim, but there def are some lender out there who are doing good rates. I think RBS are doing good rates but as a result their back log is huge and service terrible.
see a couple of different brokers and also speak to as many of the independent lenders as possible.

Good luck.....I hope you manage to find something....I know this is a really tough time for people looking to renew their mortgage but it isnt as bad as the media are potraying it!!!
