It is getting a long one! We hardly ever argue but we have been bickering over so many things lately!
Thats exactly what im doing, coming up with different things in my head when its probably just my hormones going into overdrive and making me worry!

How can he know what you will/will not like since he is not inside your head?

It seems like he really needs to have his eyes opened a bit. I think he may not see that he makes you feel insecure. Have you asked him why he does not make it clear to the ex-GF to stop contacting him or his brother? And pointed out that it is a sore point with you because of the way she has acted in the past and it is not an issue of jealousy?
