| Just had to add in my little bit - your OH is being unreasonable. And I would have pointed out to him that due to his lavish spending habits, sacrifices will have to be made on HIS half.
He needs to know the importance of certain things: nappies cost a bundle, especially if they are disposables. One pack will be gone in the blink of an eye. Babies need to be fed on demand and there will be a lot of sleepless nights. And it is best if you are home with the baby as long as possible to provide a nurturing environment.
And finally, if it was me, he would be told this: he has two hands and is capable of ironing his own damn shirt since no female is his bitch. The days of the caveman went out thousands of years ago and he needs to get modern. If he asks nicely, it will get done. And if he called me lazy, I would let my hormones take over and make him believe Hades is a better place to live.
However, moving in with your mother sounds like a good idea to help sort things out on a financial level. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I never saw the thing about the ironing! Stan irons all of his own clothes and has been ironing mine since I've been working the last few weeks and am generally tired in the evenings. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you ladies!
Alyxzandra you are spot on! We had another chat last night and neither of us would budge on what we thought was right so Ive told him, he can stay there by all means, but me and LO are off!
He is being a total arrogant prick at the moment and im sure hes doing it just to wind me up as he knows how hormonal I am. Never mind, foot has been well and truely put down and I will report on progress as it comes!!! |

| Your OH is lucky you are looking at alternative ways to help out the whole family. I say stick to your guns because it sounds like he needs a good smack with a wet tuna to get him to wake up and see what is happening. Plus, he should learn one thing - never, ever wind up a hormonal, pregnant woman. It can be hazardous to his health. | | | | Status: Offline

He definitely does!
I dont think im being unreasonable considering the mess he has got us in. I think half my problem is im quite proud (in that I like having nice things and work hard to get the things I'd like and make sure the bills are paid) whereas he has been brought up thinking that money etc is not important. To me, my home is really important and I put every spare penny into it (and my LO of course) but he has the attitude that he works for his money, so he can spend it as he wishes - forget the bills and the mortgage, if he wants something, he'll just get it without a second thought then argue that hes worked for that money so hes rewarding himself. Um, no!
Now, where did I put that tuna...... |

Keep us updated!! | Yes i'll still rent the house, we'll be able to get about £600 a month rent and thats a bit more than our mortgage so we should still be able to pocket about £50 a month.
Foot is down and its staying there! |

| I'll lend you a tuna if you cannot find one. Hell, he is pissing me off so much I will even help you lift the damn thing!!!!
It sounds like you are being a mature adult and trying to have a decent home and ensuring the security of a stable environment for your family. He, on the other hand, sounds like he is still living the willy nilly lifestyle of a single man.
Good on you...stick to those guns! | | | | Status: Offline
