Since this thread is revived, I will give an update.
That day I told my landlords about the mice and they had my maintenance there the same day. It turns out that when they put in the new heater units, they left open holes in the wall. WTF?!?! Anyway... they sealed the holes but one little mouse snuck in and now can not get out and is running around my apartment. He is clever, light, can clean a trap without setting it off and actually awful adorable. However... IT IS SICK so today I bought mouse poison. I know it is awful and mean but better one dead mouse than my apartment full of unsanitary mouse turds, right?
Here's hoping he eats the stuff soon. I set 3 traps for one baby mouse. (I feel so mean!
