im so fed up i just dont know what to do, we NEED to move-i cant get moved via the council becuase 'mk is having a housing crisis' and a pretty much have more chance of growing another leg pretty much

im on every exchange list poss, and im getting nowhere its so long and draw out im running out of steam.

most housing ass- lists are closed for the area, we simply CANT afford to go private a 3 bed house here in a bad area is in the range off £800-1000per calender month.

i dont know what we are ment to do.........

Maybe increase your ranges on both council and private. Be prepared to go to another town or something?

have you spoken to an organisation called 'shelter' ?

They speacailize in housing needs and are very good at writing letters and pushing the council into a place. This is what happened with me.

The council was going to move me to a whole different area then where i was , i declined and said this was riduculus yet the person at he council who dealt with this said i had no choice.

Contact with shelter and they said they will get in contact with the main council , gave them all this that i had a piorety (sp) to move blah blah.

In a month i was moved to an area where i wanted to be.

I know its alot different to what you are going through but they deal with alot of housing situations. Try it

Boo. What a horrible nightmare! Especially when those nesting instincts are creeping in!!!

Contacting Shelter is great advice, I've had contact with them in the past and they have been life savers. Their speciality is giving councils a kick up the backside for not fulfilling their obligations, as far as I'm aware pregnant mothers should still be a priority... and is the housing crisis your problem??? NO!!

Withough prying, maybe you be entitled to housing benefit to top up what you need to cover a private rent? I went down this route and it worked out well, but it was a few years back so not sure if the policy has changed???!!!
