I'm Currently Feeling: | 'Housing' got woken up early this morning because i forgot my connexions worker was coming to see me over my housing situation. he took me took some place called 'The Elizabeth Enderson House' which is for teen mums who need re-housing, at first i wasnt to sure but when we got there i started to like the look of it so i thought i will give it a chance, just hear what theyve got to say etc.
the more the woman told me about it the more i thought it was the perfect place to live + the best option id heard so far.
i can have accomodation for up to two years and after your two years is up they get you a flat in any area you wish to live in, but whilst living there you get your own flat (no sharing anything) + the flats are really modern two bedroom flats an quite big too.
haha as soon as i heard RULES i thought ahh no i knew there would be something wrong with it but they seem kinda fair.
1. Got to be in by 11pm/visitors left by 11pm
2. Listen out for safety instructions in case of emergency
3. Meet reguarly with a key worker
4. Let staff know when you will be having visitors
5. You can stay out 2 nights a week
6. Keep noise to a minimum
7. Dont leave child unattended at any times
8. Treat 24 hour staff with respect
9. Responcible for own belongings
10. Allow access to staff if your flat is in need of painting/repairs etc.
+ i will have 24 hours support of key workers etc.
sounds really good + ive filled the forms out but i just need to have a talk with my mum about it.
what do you girls think? xx |

| As someone who works in housing, I can say these places are great for getting support. I used to refer a lot of young, single moms to what we call mother and baby units and was always given positive feedback. Good luck with it! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have a friend who lives in a similar place !
She loves it ! she was 16 when she moved in with her little boy and has settled in great. She always has someone around for support and the rules are just common sense ! She stays at her moms 1 night a week and is doing really well.
I think its a great place and the flats are lovely ! |
