Dog's reaction to the new baby...

One of my dogs is really affected by the new baby. She keeps hiding under the bed and under the kitchen table, when I try to pick her up she growls at me...
She's NEVER done that before.

She gives me this sad look everytime I look at her. She's been good around the baby, she smelled him, and didn't really bother.

I'm trying to give her as much attention as possible, I just hope she gets back to her normal self...

Anyone has experienced something similar?

My dog gets like that over ANYTHING new you bring into the house. He hides under the bed from everything. Random dog.

I'm sure it will get better though when your dog gets used to having your LO around.

Luckily the worst we have had so far is our dog have a couple accidents in the house since Erica came home. When she was born and we were in the hospital, I had my mom bring a receiving blanket that she was wrapped up in home with her. While she was watching him for us, she just let him sleep with the blanket and snuggle with it and stuff. I think it worked. Maybe you can let your dog snuggle with one of Joshua's blankets after he's used it so she gets more familiar with his scent.

LOL Just make sure to wash it before giving it back to baby. DH almost forgot!!
