Im in too much debt and im worried!Any advice?!

Hiya ladies...need some help and advice. Iv been in debt since i was about 18 and just havent managed to get out of it. If anything the debt is even bigger now! I consolidated them with CCCS which worked until i started paying rent bills etc which made me miss payments. I am back to sqaure 1!...creditors ringing me constantly, its really stressing me out! And my little man is on his way in 4 weeks time!!! Im moving into private accomodation this week which is taking up my whole salary inc: bond and rent. Worse thing is is that i have got a good job that pays well but at the same time have too many debts and my partner does not work. Any advice?!

I no expert but this is what i did.

Write to your creditors, offering them amount you can afford to pay if you cant afford any this month say that, point out that due to your current Financial status this is all you can afford at the moment, that you have every intention of paying the debt off and when the time comes you can pay more you will.

Try not to get stressed out over it i no its easier said then done ive been there, now i dont care now i pay what i can when i can tuff if they dont like what can they do.

One piece of advise never pay a debt agencies to take all debts for them to sort out you pay a high price for this and this could be paying your debts off. Been there too.

Or you could try local advice bureau.

Good Luck and please try not to get stressed it aint worth it xx

If you have any luxuries you are paying for (cable, maybe even internet, etc) you can cancel those and put that money towards the debt. Also, try keeping a journal for the month and write down every penny you spend, you may be surprised where you can save some money (eating out? grabbing a coffee on the way to work?).

Work with your creditors and pay the lowest amount possible on your cards to get out of debt. Any extra money you have should go to the debt to get them paid off as soon as you can.

If you go to citezens advice, they're really good at debt management and will help you to get it sorted so they will freeze the interest & arrange affordable repayments which can be as little as £1 a month I think. Their help is all free too.

All of these are brilliant ways to help you get ut of debt, but may I ask why your partner doesn't work? x
