I cannot tell you how wonderful they are. They really are entirely gentle giants. DD could yank and pull on Hooties hair, tail, ears and he'd just lay there and pur.

They are also very loyal and do not like to be seperated from his family, so if you have a household where people are gone a lot, I'm not sure this is the cat for you.

I recommend these highly

I think I'll have to take a look into one of these beauties. I've got three other cats, but I'm sure they would never mind a fourth!

Wow - I thought we had a big cat until I saw the ones Margerie posted. They look stunning, I am sorely tempted!! Although I'm not sure my other cat would agree - she's such a diva!!

xx

I miss having one of these guys around. Hootie died 6 years ago, and I thought another cat would be just the ticket. WRONG. I think these are the only breed I can love But I've got 3 dogs now, so a cat is pretty much out of the question.

I can't quit talking about these guys though. They are a bit of a wonky breed and come in a ton of funky colors. Look at this smoky one...

I love their big feet.

This was actually my first choice I've wanted a Maine coon since first heard of it in a novel I read when I was 12. There just aren't any breeders close to Edmonton and the closest one is in calgary . My hubby refused to drive that far to pick one up. He's not a fanatic like I am about cats and the different breeds. Not to mention they're $600 bucks .

And the crappy thing? I just saw an ad in the Edmonton area about someone selling Silver mackerels and brown spotted tabbies (my favorite) for $300, 50 less than what I'm paying for my raggy too! but I already have a deposit on my little ragdoll. I was disappointed but at least they reach the same size as the maine coons (which attracted me in the first place to them). My little boy should reach around 20lbs or so, thats how big his daddy is

CRAZY CAT LADY!!!

I have both a Maine Coone and a Norwegian Forest! They are just adorable! Norwegian Forest cats are wonderful...they are a little bigger than Ragdolls but not as big a maine coone...anyway...they both love my little toddler!

My toddler is specially attached to the Maine Coone who used to lay right beside him when he was a newborn! Angus (cat) was Jayden's (lil boy aged 2) gardian angel! So cute! Jayden lies all over Angus and he has even pulled his tail but Angus has never once scratched or anything...he just gets up and walks off....So placid!

Norwegian Forests on the other hand get along beautifully with other animals! I will have to work out how to add photos to my signature! And then I can add them both!

Yup Im a NUTTER! I LOVE CATS! IM GOING TO BE ONE OF THOSE OLD CRAZY CAT LADIES WHICH WALKS DOWN THE STREET WITH A SHOPPING BAG JUST FILLED WITH TINS OF CAT FOOD! TALKING TO HERSELF!

I love ragdoll kitties. My ex still has my cat, I miss him and OH says no kitten/cat until after the baby is here.
