is that Royal Bank of Scotland???

If so be bloody carefull. I went and applied for a loan with them cause I wanted a 7 year one, and not many places do them. They said when I applied that they normally expect you to open a back account with them too if you didnt have one with them already. So I said No. It then took them 2 week to get back to me even though they said 3 days to process. Ihad to keep going in there and chasing them, just for them to turn around and say actually they dont do loans for that small an amount over 7 years. So it was completly wasted.

But that wasnt all. I moved ouse just after this, and it turned out that dispite me saying no they opened a bank account for me and for every month that it remained empty they charged £50 to it! . . . .I didnt find out Ihad this account till about 5 months later, cause the statements were going to my old address, by which time they said I owed them £250!!!!!!
Needless to say Iwent in there kicked off like mad in the middle of the bank, with everyone looking. They appologised and shut down the account and removed all charges.

Cheeky F***ers!

Well i just got a quote to clear some stuuf and make it into 1 loan
anyway the repayments were great and could start paying in March, sorta 5 months free, so i was all for it thinking great 'cos we due to swap mortgages in the April so would only have to make 1 repayment than add it to mortgage kinda thing

Thing was when we got our finance guy to look at it it was totally rip off and we would have had to pay £830 for every £1000 we borrowed if we paid it off early
So really £1830 for every £1000 borrowed what a con, and they added £4500 onto top for insurance which we had to pay whether paid off early or not

I was so stunned as i was all for it but OH told me to hang fire and for once i am so glad i listened to him

Makes you realise how easy it is to get inway over your head doesn't it??

I went with intelligent finance, and chose no payment protection-it is a con. Doesn't cover loads of things.
