Well the other day I found out my best friend was pregnant. We live 8 hours apart now (she's in scotland) so don't see each other much anymore but talk as often as we can. We went to school & college together and have even had 2 jobs together.

I can't help but be suspisious about her pregnancy though. I feel really guilty for thinking about it.

For well over a year now I know she's wanted a baby but always said not now - it's not a good time because she wants to finish her course and travel. Still I know she was sleeping with guys and not using contraception.

Then she met a guy who isn't really her type & she even told me she liked his best friend better but still agreed to marry him (this was valentines day and I think they've been together since about Christmas or just after).

Now she says she's pregnant. She told me she went to the doctors to have it confirmed which they did and now they're sending her to hospital in 2 weeks for a scan and because they send everyone to hospital to get checked over. When I asked when she sees the midwife to get booked in she said she doesn't know.

I feel so terrible for doubting her but I've just got a feeling about all this and think her treatment sounds strange. Why would you be sent for such an early scan and before you've even been booked in?!

She's given up everything for what I feel she thinks is an easier life & I'm kind of wondering if she's even pregnant. It wouldn't be the first time she's made out she wants one thing when she actually is aiming for something else.

I had a scan before I was booked in (I didn't even know I was going to be booked in, I was pretty clueless at the time.) I had the scan because of the morning after pill and some slight pains. I dunno why they'd give her one for no reason though

i had an early scan too before i was booked in cos the doctors pg test came bk neg, as toria as just said only your friend knows why

I had a scan due to slightly bleeding! Maybe she's not wanting to say the reason why she's going for an early scan?

I didn't tell anyone but my OH about my bleeding, I think I just told family it was cos I didn't remember when my last period was!
