As some of you may remember, I was working for a hotel who stopped giving me any hours a month after I told them I was pregnant.

Anyway since then they've never contacted me and I get brushed off if I contact them but I've never quit and they've not sacked me or made me redundant. They simply don't communicate with me. I've also never recieved my P.45 from them.

I am meant to be entitled to 1.5 days holiday for every month I work there & haven't ever used any of it. Would I still be able to claim it since technically surely I'm still employed by them? Would I also be able to claim for the months they haven't given me any hours?

This company have really screwed me over since being pregnant I haven't been able to find any other work so we are really struggling for money and having to claim benefits. It's so annoying to think they can get away with treating people like that & I know I'm not the only one they've done it to. By not giving me any hours obviously I wouldn't have been making enough to claim maternity pay from them but luckily I can claim maternity allowance from the government through the hours from my previous job.

Do you have any type of contract with them? You should be able to take it further since they have treated you unfairly since finding out your pregnant.

I'd ring Citizens Advice Bureau Anita for some advice, theres lots of protection for pregnant women.
