Why?

Just a quick update realy i wrote the other day id been feeling crappy for days been to the docs ad back there on Wednesday.Had a talk with my other half finaly got him to undrstand how i felt so had a good few last days, realy thought i was getting somewhere. Then y/day my 3 yr old cat just decided to drop dead on the kitchen floor, she wasnt poorly and id been playing with her 10 minutes earlier.Just cant get my head round how a healthy cat can just die,to make it worse she was pregnnt as well,so y/day wasnt the best of days.Me being impulsive had to get another cat y/day so went and chose a tabby moggy(mine was a persian) about 9mths old.I thought she would do me and my boys(my other persians) the world of good.It didnt work all we had was screaming galore by the boys well one them especialy ad she was growling like crazy.Wheres the gratitude in that? The poor thing is just hid in my bedroom like a frightened rabbit so now i fee so guilty on all the cats.

Sorry you've had such a rough time of it.

As for introducing another cat to the household, it's not uncommon that the established cat's would resist another cat being brought into the house. Cats are extremely territorial and it will take them a while to adjust to having this new cat around. It's best to leave them separated for now (give the new cat one room of the house) and the other cats their usual run of the house and let them sniff each other out under the door, after a few days you can try and reintroduce them but be prepared for more hissing and growling, it's quite normal and should eventually get better.

Hi Biteable, I'm sorry to hear about your cat hun. I got a kitten to keep my egyptian mau x and my maine coon girls happy and they hated her for about 3 months. Your boys will settle down, they just have to get used to her.

You probably should introduce them gently, they will sort it out in the end.

Sorry you've had such a pants couple of days. Go and retrieve the new moggy and give her some love, she needs it by the sounds of it.
