I'm Currently Feeling: | What about finding a job where you work from home? Or maybe set up your own. I heard about women who, for a small fee, do the things that other people don't have time to e.g. the shopping, the washing etc.
I'm already back at work, but I'm really lucky as I can take Kaya with me. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | As soon as you have a p60 AG you can apply they reject because of short time working etc when the new tax year starts and you get another p60 try again - well you or Rob ... Rob by looks of it! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im due back to work in September. I have taken the full 9 months
I was thinking about going back 30 hours rather than 40 but now im not so sure what I want to do as we don't get any benefits and childcare at the nursery we looked into is £35 a day and so we would require 4 days which amounts to £140 a week which is £560 a month... then by the times the bills the loan and car insurance etc has gone out i'll be left with less than I earnt...
Im going to have to have a good look into it i think.. My family live in Bridlington 100 miles away and OH mother is reluctant to have any of her grandchildren bar 1 which she cant do enough for so thats possibly not an option either.
I also need to pull my finger out my ass and send off my child benefit forms. Its a good job it gets back dated!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im not going back till august, will be ripping my hair out by then.
I was starting to worry about childminders and stuff, nicole went to one and it used to cost me £50 a week just for 12hours a week, i know that doesnt sound like too much but callum would habe to go from 9am-4pm 4 days a week which would cost me £84 a week and then nicole would have to go after schhol which would total £96 altogether. i only earn just over a £100 a week. I know you can get help and stuff with tax credits, but its still not much.
Thankfully my mum has said that if she's not working wen i go back she will look after them both for me.
Its really hard and i understand why so many people decide not to work. sometimes its really not worth it. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi all,
My husband & I have decided to wait for a while until we TTC. One of the main reasons for this is childcare!
I couldnt afford to give up work but we also couldnt afford childcare! My husband is currently doing a Law conversion course in the evenings & the original plan was that we werent going to even start trying until he has finished & hopefully got a job as a solicitor.... the problem with that is, that he will be doing it for the next 4 years!! I cant wait that long! lol
Dont really know what the solution is though & after reading the other posts, there doesnt seem to be a solution!!
Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest!!
Ta! xx |
