When you have your baby you get a bounty pack.. in there you will find the application form for child benefit. If there is a problem (which there shouldn't be, just saying) just look on their site for their number and order a pack. It's very simple.
You should also get tax credits I believe, but to be honest.. I don't remember either! sorry.. don't know if we contacted them or vice versa.

Hope someone else can help you out a bit more on that one, check out their sites too if you're not 100%. I was confused at first too..

The bounty pack I mean is the one you have AFTER you've had your baby as you need the birth certificate to claim. You get it in hospital, don't worry.

I was the same, chill out it's all fine. They backdate it to when your baby was born too, so you won't lose anything.

What comment?

What benefits do you think your entitled to?

Do you work? If you don't what income to you recieve already?

Some benefits can be applied for online - not all of them though and depending on circumstances you could either phone to ask for the form or nip into the job centre - again all depending on what your circumstances are to what you need.

About the Job Centre, they gave me nothing but hassle when I was pregnant.. unhelpful gits the majority of them! I would ask this one woman what I was entitled to etc and she would say with a blank look on her face "I don't know" so id have to say "erm, well can you ask someone who does maybe?" Then I was asked when I heavily pregnant, at those interviews you have every so often, why I hadn't found a full time job yet. Seriously, it's a joke. Don't get me started on the Income Support, thats a different thread.
