Leanne if you are not working you can claim income support from 11 weeks before your due date. You would need to ring 0800 055 6688 which is the jobcentre contact centre number, they will ask you questions over the phone and will then post you all your answers to you which you have to check through sign and send back to your jobcentre. You will be called in to see an advisor as anyone making any claim has to see someone but this can be delayed until after you've had your LO. Once you've had your LO and your child benefit is in payment you can then claim child tax credits - 0845 300 3900 (tax credits need your child benefit referance number) Hope that helps.
