I'm Currently Feeling:

Rug Stain

As you ladies know, we're moving into a new place on Feb. 1st. When we went to see it there was quite a large red-ish/orange-ish stain on the off-white carpet.

I'm not entirely sure if the worker will be able to get it out when we move but I don't want to have to cover it with another area rug because I think our living room would look fab with the carpet and our new furniture.

Do any of you have some advice as to what we could use if the stain is still there? I figure we'll try using a rug machine first and my mom said as a last resort we could bleach it as white on off-white would look nicer than red. It's quite a disgusting stain so all you ladies with the handy ideas-- what could I do?

Stain devil is good of you know what the stain is though!

How big is the stain? Where in room is it? Maybe its in an area you would/could have something to cover it? Floor plant, the sofa may go there etc

the stain is pretty big, maybe 10 inches by 15 inches. it's in a terrible position! it's between the middle of the room and the wall, so I can't even put my sofa over it to cover it.. ughhh!

if I can't get it out, I'll think of something. i'm resourceful when it counts lol

I talked to DH about it... his solution: paint the rug!

...men... they're cute.
