I'm Currently Feeling: | home organisation Do any of you follow schedules with regards to house cleaning and meals?
me and OH are very disorganized ppl and its starting to bother me a lot.
i dont want my child to grow up like this, i grew up in a very organised house
so my question is if you do follow schedules do you have lists ? charts or something? set days to clean? meal plan for the week? freezer list?
i feel like the only way i will be organised is to create a schedule like this and stick to it. id love feedback from how you run your homes esp those that use these schedules and charts. being pregnant ( and still feeling so sick) has meant the house and meals are utter chaos and i need to somehow get back on track, on the days im sick i wont push myself but i want to at least have a plan. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey I have a chart up on the noticeboard in the kitchen detailing our weekly schedule its a rough outline the only thing that is set on it is ravens gymboree classes, me and my DH's working hours, and ravens childminding arrangments. The rest is things that can change like dinner times, mommy time, daddy time etc.
The easiest way to do it is to sit down and make three lists 1.Things that have to be done e.g feeding bathing cleaning shopping 2.Things that are set and won't change for a period of time e.g working hours, baby classes,
minding arrangments 3.Things you want to fit in e.g mommy and daddy time, daddy and baby time, family time, night out
Then when you have this done plan your schedule around it.
The chores are divided equally between me and DH e.g
Bailey= Hoovering, Dusting, wooden floors and laundry.
Malakai(DH)= Bathrooms, Garden, iorning and general maintenance.
I find it easier to plan meals for the week before I go shopping so I know exactly what to buy e.g this weeks menu= Monday
Spag Bol and Garlic Bread. Tuesday
Chicken Carrots and mashed potato. Wednesday
Stew with potatoes. Thursday
Tuna pasta bake with salad. Friday
Chicken Korma with Pilau rice. Saturday
We go out for dinner. Sunday
Sunday roast with roast potatoes and veg.
Hope this helps if there is anything else just ask me.

I'm Currently Feeling: | iv got a thorough cleaning list to make sure i dont miss anything out and i do it twice a week, i dont have a meals list or a freezer list i just ask my OH wot he wants for tea and make it lol. ive got a calender in the kitchen and i rite on it wot i need to do on that day but if something else comes up i just rite it in for another day.
i find it easier writing EVERYTHING down while im pregnant because my memory is terrible. xxx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I donīt have a schedule as such, at the moment its just a case of whoever is home sticks the washing in and does the ironing. My DH works quite late at the moment and often isnīt home until 9pm, I canīt wait that long to eat my evening meal, so will often make something and leave the rest for him to heat up when he gets in.
I do try and work out what we are going to eat for the following week when I make out a shopping list, it doesnīt necessarily get followed rigidly, but at least when I do the shopping Iīm only buying in the things that I need and I know roughly what Iīm going to cook when I get in from work - saves having to decide when I get home and I canīt think straight. Quite often though Iīll cook a chilli or Spag Bol for 4 people and just freeze the rest for another day or reheat it the next day, saves cooking every night.
I have to admit the cleaning doesnīt always get done on a regular basis - but then Iīm living in a home and not a show house!!! | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | I used to clean, clean, clean our house......I was obsessed with clean surfaces, hoovered floors and polished sides etc!
Since Noah's came along there's not even enough time (was actually wanting to start a similar post) to do the dishes, it really bugs me! I loved living in a tidy house, now when I do get the chance to clean I just can't find the energy. OH cleans so much more than me now which he doesn't mind but I actually used to love the feeling I got when I'd cleaned my house.
Its a complete tip now, I only answer the door now if I know who it is and they've arranged to come.............if I dnt know who it is I'm not in!!! I'm mortified when people see my house a mess. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have always found cleaning quite theraputic! weird i know but i feel really satisfied afterwards sat in my big clean house lol, so I have never asked OH to do anything (he wouldn't do it properly anyway!).
But i have however since pregnant got him involved as i get knackered easier, i have just given him jobs he's in charge of like, washing all the floors, loading and unloading dishwasher and a couple of other little things. I think i still do the lions share tho!
And we have set nights on which he cooks too. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im the same with cleaning, it feels really good when you can sit down with a cup of tea and relax in a nice clean house. If it's messy, I literally can't relax - my desk is a big mess at the minute and it winds me up but living out of 1 room makes it harder. When we get our own house, I imagine im going to become a bit obsessive with it lol.
We decide what we want to eat then buy the food. When we have our own place I will write a meal plan and rota type thing most likely. | | | | Status: Offline
