If you are a boater why not have a look at my boating forum www.riverboatingforum.com there are people on there who might be able to help you with your questions a bit more.
Also depends on the type of house boat you are refering to as some are worth alotof money, |

I'm Currently Feeling: | its not just the boat, you have to find moorings as well. which i think are at a premium in london. best to go to a house boat website and ask for advice. |
