I know how you feel, my OH is in the army and gets sent to Iraq and Afghanistan for 6 months at a time, he will be going to afghan in august and I'm terrified but as its his job there is nothing I can do, I trust him completely but I have to be away from him

Thanks everyone. It's really good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way & you have no idea how much of a comfort it is.

I feel so daft crying when he's gone but I know it's got to be done. We need the money and it's not forever. Besides I know he's really looking forward to having a son and he's determined not to mess things up this time so I know I can trust him. It's just hard to fight off those thoughts.

My OH has to go to San Francisco for three weeks, he'll be missing my birthday but I love him and I trust him. When we were first together 7 years ago, we both had very different ideas about how our relationship would be. My ex worked away ALL the time and was cheating on me, the man I am with now is different. We made a decision together to have a baby and we are engaged. He has assured me that he will not ever do to me what my ex did and in my heart I know he isn't lying. It is difficult when he is going away for so long, but it has to be done to pay the bills- sure he'll be drinking and going out but what he can do there he can do here if he so wanted.

Pregnancy switches on our in-built jealousy chip. We want to keep our men near us, it's a survival instinct especially when we feel so vulnerable.

Chin up girls, trust your men until they give you reason not to.
