compensation ???

Hi all
About a year and a half ago me and my OH were in a car crash and spun sixteen times on the m8. Went to southern general in glasgow and was sent away with ibuprufen and never had x-ray done my neck was in agony.
Anyway 3 days later women behind us at traffic lights shunted us very lightly but 10 mins later couldn't move my left arm and was screaming in agony.
My OH rushed me to A&E where i was put in a neck brace and my head held in a vice to stop me from moving it.
Got a MRI scan done next day and showed up shadows on my neck
after 3rd day was told everything was fine and i was sent home.
Do you think i should claim comp and if so where do i go to get advice.
Thanks danielle xx

no matter who you seeked compensation from, they'd claim that it was the other persons fault that your injuries were as they were, ie, the 1st person "it wouldn't have been so bad if the 2nd person hadn't hit" and vice versa. In process of a long compen claim and it gets really petty...your entire life ends up under scrutiny not just the time around and after the accident but from being a child, everything.

There's no harm in seeking advice on it first before you make a decision, - any solicitor that deals with personal injury will be able to discuss things with you and it won't cost you.

Good luck, whatever you decide.

I would go for it, i'm doing the same thing at the moment, i'd also put in a complaint against the hospital for negligence. The southern is a hovel anyway.

Good luck xx

i ended up leaving as they said my fiance had not phoned and he had and they also made me go up to my place of work to hand in the sick note in person as i was told if i didnt i would lose my job then when i got there they told me i should have got my fiance to hand the sick line in after telling me i had to take it up in person as they wanted to talk to me then when i got there they told me they werent insured to have me in the building i ended up in tears and told them i couldnt put up with that and left
i should have went to the union but was too upset to think about anything like that

I thought that too mynxie.
I was well peed off with them
It was my first day back and i had been told by doc to try and take it easy
I worked for the jobcentre and i thought they would have been a bit more sympathetic
Tbh i didnt feel ready to go back but they were on the phone every other day asking when i would be back and why i hadnt phoned them but my doc told me not to get stressed as i had handed them in sick notes and that i shouldnt have to explain myself as that is the whole point of a sick note
They also phoned me at the hospital to check that i was in !
The cheek of them !
And when my line manager said i was to go to a meeting and explain in detail why i had been off i was so upset.
So here i was first day back at work after losing my grandad (who was really a father figure to me)then a week later i had my first miscarriage and two weeks later was in two car accidents and 3 days out of hospital i was hit with that !
I told her i was just leaving as i didnt need all this stress and no job was worth my health !
She tried to take me down the fire exit so no one saw how upset i was !
But i walked through the main office and told my friend what had happened and she told me to phone the union when i got home and fight my case !
They told me i had left on my own accord whenreally i felt i had been forced out !
anyway sorry for the rant but i had to let you in full what happened or you would have been confused !
