never thought it would happen but i am always a person to say don't ever think it would happen to you. i'm entering my third trimester and i found out a week ago that i have gestational diabeties. it scared the sh!t out of me. i'm just starting a diet and daily exercise. Second pregnancy and i can for sure say EVER pregnancy is different. i'm just so down about this and i know i shouldn't stress because that can effect my blood levels. I just wanted to enjoy these last months of pregnancy now i just feeling down.

I am so sorry I would be nervous too, but you are doing your best with diet and exercise and that is great! So look on the bright side , things will be ok and once you have your gorgeous baby you will keep up with the diet and exercise and feel really good about yourself and feel more confident.

I feel like we are dealt things in life and what makes us good people is how we handle it and I think you are doing a good job with it. I would not stress you are almost there and as long as you do your best everything will go great.

All The Best, Andrea

Try not to get too down, I was diagnosed with GD at 35 weeks and although it meant being careful with food and I was induced early I now have my lovely healthy baby girl x Just find what works for you in terms of diet and with a bit of luck you won't need meds x message me if you want any tips I manage to stay diet controlled even during labour

I understand how you're feeling. I have high blood pressure and was just diagnosed with diet controlled GD, too. Just found out this means weekly doctor's visits as well as weekly visits to the Maternal/Fetal unit at my hospital. Trying to be glad that the baby is getting all this extra monitoring, but it's hard not to be depressed over not getting to just enjoy the next 14 weeks.

That is great news that the baby is ok.. I am sorry it is still high, but keep doing what you are doing and things will get better. I have mild high blood pressure and I diet and exercise and I still have it, I think with me it is hereditary. Sometimes we do all we can and it is still a struggle..
Good Luck
