Did anyone experience Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD)/Pelvic girdle pain (PGP)?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and last week I felt a pain in my pubic area for the first time. It can be incredible painfull. In the morning I feel quite OK but in the evening I can hardly walk. I started visiting a chiropractor to correct my bones alligment.

Did any of you experience similar problems? How did you resolve them?

hi
i had it on 2previous pregs and on my last preg i seen a physio who tried to align back but was then put on crutches..i then split the pelvic bone and told to use wheelchair which i declined..i am now 17weeks preg and started again but i am alot smaller this time and it is mainly my lower back and not so much pelvic..i use a genie pillow and try to keep legs shut tight which helps..also head pads and baths are very good..any more questions feel free to ask

I also have this & am on crutches... sorry to say this hun but theres not a lot you can do about it im afraid & it normally gets worse as the pregnancy progresses

Your best bet is to buy a sacroiliac support belt which will stop things getting any worse (google Serola si belt for stockists) & hopefully it will resolve itself once your baby is born

P.S - there is a thread in pregnancy club with lots of other ladies who are suffering with this if you want anyone to talk to xx
