Possible Ectopic

Hi Ladies,

I'm not sure where to post this, so I thought I would try here!

I've been TTC for 4 months and this month AF turned up 4 days late (Well I think it's AF).

I've been having some strange AF pains. I have a sharp niggling pain by my right ovary but it only hurts when I move. It also hurts on the back side of that area.

As for AF, mine are normally really red and heavy, this one is very light, brown and a bit watery looking. Looks a bit like a muddy puddle (sorry far too much information)

I haven't done a test as I've been having personal problems and completely forgot I was TTC

I have some IC's at home and plan to test tonight. Whilst i'm in work and going out of my mind I thought I'd ask if anyone else has every had this, or has any advice.

Thank you in advance

Hiya first of all you need to do a test.

My ectopic started with brown prune juice type bleeding and slight niggling stitch type pain.

You need to test first to see if its positive, if it is I suggest A&E or your docs as it could be dangerous if you leave it too long.

It may just be a different type of period due to stress etc.

Hope its not ectopic, take care xxx

Hmmm Well the prune Juice bit sounds right.

I'm hoping for a negative test tonight now (Never thought I'd hear myself say that).

This just feels so strange, I normally know all of my body's aches and pains, this definitely feels different.

Thank you Fluffyblue

get a test done asap and i would pop along to docs and get them to arrange an early scan - if they cant see anything they will start tracking your hcg levels. I am just recovering from an ectopic pregnancy - had surgery 10 days ago - my tube nearly ruptured and I have a 10cm cut - sore! Thinking back I had prune juice type blood for 2 days and just thought my period was starting, it wasnt til i got the pain in my side 2 days later and then sore breasts that I thought I might be pregnant - and bingo when i did the test - 2 lines - albeit the line was faint. A thorough internal ultrasound showed nothing other than a collapsed corpus luteum but my hcg came back 1265 (normal for 6 week preg), 2 days later in was at 1100 and I was rushed into surgery.

Don't hang about with this - get checked asap. good luck xx

I'm gonna test when i get home. I now 5 days past original AF due date so a test should be positive by now if i am. Only an hour to go. I'm really nervous now.

I'll post the results.

Thank you for the advice

Sorry about your ectopic smidgen

xxx

I had the exact same type of pain you describe when I suddenly developed ovarian cysts! They say these are mostly normal during pregnancy (mine wasn't, I m/c-d). My next pg was an ectopic and I didn't have a specific low/side pelvic pain, instead it was very diffuse and it also hurt higher up in my abdomen, eventually causing very difficult breathing. Let us know the test results!! Good luck to you!!

Hi Ladies,

Well I did a test yesterday and it was very negative. I have a doctors appointment today anyway for something else so I'm going mention it whilst I'm there.

Thank you very much for your responses.

xx

I had something like that. They went in to remove it and it ended up being a cyst and I was still pregnant. I hope it's not ectopic!
