Hi - i was diagnosed at just over 38 weeks and as i had reached term the treatment is to induce you. Before that I believe they 'manage' it in order to keep the baby inside as long as possible. My labour was induced and had to be monitored the whole way through so i couldn't get up and walk around. I had a really good experience though. I think there is a 90% chance i will get it again, so am expecting it to be the same this time round.
have you just been diagnosed? i see from your ticker you're 38+2.

hi ive had gestational cholostasis with my 3 previous pregnancys and there now testing me regularly with this pregnancy im 16 weeks, cholostasis is a failing in the liver causing bile acids (poisons) to build up in ur blood stream causing severe itching, its the biggest cause of stillborn babys there is and theres no way of stopping it happening, the cut of point is37 weeks then they like to deliver baby as to assure that its born safely. my first son was born after induction of labour at 37 weeks my daughter was born thru prem labour at 34 weeks and my second son was born thru induction of labour at 37 weeks, hope this helps u, it is gettin to be more common in pregnancy now, hope all goes well for u

I think I *may* have...but no one told me. I was given a prescription for itching when I was pregnant with my son, 7 years ago...I don't know what it was. I had this with my daughter too. So itchy I carried a fork. Someone said PUPPS....but, I never did have a rash, so who knows!

Hi
With my last baby who is now 3 years old in august I has a severe itch that went all over my body apart from my hands and face, I had appointments with the dermatologist who didnt know what it was, i was tested for OC but it was negative. The itch drove me crazy, i would bleed and bruise where i scratched that much, it really was awful i was on different tablets and creams for it but nothing much helped. I hope you get some answers and it doesnt drag on too much for you, also i was induced at 37 weeks with my DD due to the itching being so bad. Good Luck.
