When is the nuchal cord a problem?(x-posted)

Someone recently told me that it's fine that my baby has the cord around her neck for now but it will become a problem once she drops and her head becomes engaged? Then, according to this person, the cord will get more tight.Does this make any sense to u?

And if yes, what should i do,ask to be induced or have C-S???No doctor will do this coz of nuchal cord !
I'm so panicking right now

Hi, I can only tell you my experience.

I went overdue with my baby so I went in to the hospital for monitoring of the baby's heartbeat. At the monitoring they noticed that the HB was not the normal pattern - it was high and there was no rhytmic slowing and fastening. So my gynecologist said that the baby was in some sort of distress, though she doesn't know the exact reason. THey booked me in for an induction the next day.

During the induction they kept monitoring the baby and when it wasn't going anywhere (I was 3 cm dilated after 10 hours) they decided to do a C-section. During the C-section it turned out that the cord was wrapped around my daughter's neck so many times that she couldn't engage properly. She was fine once they took her out.

My advice is not to stress about too much, but once your due date is close start to keep an eye out on baby's movements and go in for monitoring if something seems to be off. Good luck!

Thank you
I fear that the cord is stopping my baby from dropping as well since I'm carrying her so low and her head isn't engaged yet at 37 weeks tho i have no idea when this suppose to happen.
I'm seeing my doctor in few hours i will ask to be monitored at least once a week as i know he won't agree to have me in every day.I hope we will say yes.
Thanks for the advice
