I don't know, but unless confirmed by scans, I wouldn't always trust the presentation if it has been determined by palpation. I kept being told my daughter was head down, until a scan showed she was breec. The movements I felt never changed, until the night before she was born, so I am pretty sure she was breech all along.

Jem, I'm glad your daughter is fine now. My LO is 14 months now and starting to walk. The relief is immense. I don't thonk you really believe that their hips are fine until they take those first few steps.

Yeah the relief is immense Cazzag, glad your LO is coming along nicely too. Faith still has yearly check ups and x rays but every year you see such a difference and her hip looking like the other. Just such a lovely thing to see x

Sparky not sure about the risks of DDH if your baby hasn't always been breech. I'd maybe ask your doctor or MW about it. All I know about DDH is that the reason it happens more than anything is because the hips arn't squeezed together as they come down the birth canal like a baby that is born head first. Hence why C Section baby girls need scanning too. Really hope baba turns for you but like Cazzag says a scan would be more accurate. It isn't always easy to determine the presentation from feeling. Every MW and Doc appointment said my daughter was head down and she was breech the whole time, that's why it was as I was pushing they saw a bum and got a shock lol! x
