I personaaly would be reluctant to go private, just 'cos teachers aren't always qualified. You only need a dehree, and can teach in private school, but in state school you either have to have a teaching degree or have a degree followed by a post grad teaching certificate, which is a years intenive training.
That's true about many private schools. You never know who's teaching your kid....or what. The one I'm considering is a Christian academy and they provide all info on every staff member if requested. Public school is a joke though. George Bush's education plan "No Child Left Behind" is causing many parents to withdraw their kids. The teachers are forced to spend every waking moment preparing students for a series of state tests. Each school receives funding according to the scores. It's a load of....and the kids only learn what's going to be on the yearly exams.
