Anyone with the Open University?


I'm looking at doing a course while I'm off work and I was wondering if someone can answer a question for me. In the course description it says:

"If you’re new to study or to the OU, we recommend that you start with a course at Level 1. If you complete that course successfully you’ll have a firm foundation for future studies as well as 60 credit points to count towards this degree."

Does this mean that I don't HAVE to start with level 1, as long as I get enough credits from level 2 and 3 to be awarded the degree?

Doesn't mean you have to, its just a recommendation if you've not been in education for a while or are looking to increase your abilities...

Thanks very much. I was in university education a couple of years ago studying Aerospace Engineering, so I'm guessing jumping in at Level 2 will be ok for me? Just don't want to sign up to a course that costs £600 and make a mistake.
